Epson Air Resuscitator — Wireless EEPROM Resetter

Zero-cost wireless utility that bypasses manufacturer artificial end-of-life lockouts on Epson EcoTank and WorkForce printers. Reverse-engineers raw SNMP byte packets over local Wi-Fi to read and reset the internal waste ink pad EEPROM counter.

Hardware Hacking & Right to Repair

Many inkjet printers (Epson EcoTank/WorkForce) contain internal waste ink pad sponge counters. When the counter reaches 100%, the printer firmware triggers a hard lockout error (*"Service Required"*), artificially bricking an otherwise perfectly functional device.

Commercial reset utilities charge steep subscription keys for a 5-second serial write. Epson Air Resuscitator solves this permanently via local wireless reverse engineering.

[ IMPORTANT ]By capturing network traffic during diagnostic handshakes, I identified the proprietary SNMP OIDs and raw payload bytes required to query and zero out the EEPROM waste counter over standard Wi-Fi. Zero physical disassembly required.
